    Permapink | 2017

Permapink is the name of a color I have devised to title a particular color shade. I was inspired to create the term by Anish Kapoor’s vantablack. My permapink refers to a pink – beige shade of soil. The Permapink video (2017, 9min 39s) was a part of my solo show of the same title (Jambor House gallery, Tišnov, CZ). My long term interest in the relation between human existence and earth or even soil and the simple fact that this show took place in my hometown, created a complex context. Due to minerals in its compostition, the soil around my hometown has the permapink shade. Long before the exhibition was held, I noticed that the artists coming from this area subconsciously use this particular pink shade in their paintings, including me, of course. In the video, I present the strong idea of being unable to free myself from connections with the place I come from. In general, we are forever stained with the soil from our original place or even biblically, with the soil we are made of.
