Collaboration with Benedict Romain (Sculptures) | 2014

Bruno Jamaica and Benedict Romain are London based artists representing Transition Collective. They met in 2011 whilst exhibiting with the collective, and immediately found inspiration in each other’s work. Their contrasting styles collaborate perfectly to form high impact installations, using classical ideals to confront contemporary issues, with an aesthetic outcome that spans the breadth of art history. Mythological Portrait The collaboration between Benedict Romain and Bruno Jamaica merges classical and modernist styles to create a powerful and unique aesthetic. Taking inspiration from Hellenistic sculpture and Greek mythology into a contemporary setting, it is a manifestation of the relationship between the old and new world, in a metaphorical approach to new ways of building the future.
