    Extreme paintings | 2017 - 2018

The goal of this work was to find a certain extreme in painting, be it the technique or the environment in which it was being done. I chose both options in the end. I found an abandoned homestead. It is without inhabitants today and is becoming a dangerous old ruin. But from my point of view the place made an impression on my as a natural architecture becoming and aesthetic object. Trees growing thorugh walls, fallen roofing tiles and bricks, overgrown courtyard, all of this formed a beautiful whole. The environment of a dangerous ruin as well as the cold in auntum and winter, trying to pin down the big formats on uncommon places, all of this was extreme. Several paintigs were created, two of those I tried to transform using white putty in a structured white surface. Even though I transformed them into 3D, I tried to maintain it as a painting. Using lifght I wanted to support the plasticity of the painting and deliver the feeling of moving in a landscape with changing light conditions.
