- During the oxidation of glucose by oxygen dissolved in the solution takes place simultaneously reduction of methylene blue to colorless methylene white and the blue color disappears solution. Repeated colouring of solution can be done by shaking the container, thereby achieving glucose oxidation and reduction of indicator. The process is conditioned only by the presence of oxygen ( just uncork container ) and the process is repeated.
