“For 20 centuries, the western knowledge was only trying to watch the world. It didn´t understand, the world is not for watching. It is to be listened. It is not readable, it is hear able. Our science always desired to monitor, measure, abstract, and castrate the meaning. It was forgetting the fact, the life is full of noise (industrial noise, noise of the people and animals), and that the only quiet thing is the death. Noise is buying, noise is selling or it is banning. Nothing important is happening without noise.” Installation Art of Noise Noise of Art is an open system, allowing present participants to generate sounds, rush and noise with the help of glass. We find ourselves in an acoustic scene. In broader sense the sound is every vibrating phenomenon, which causes hearing feelings. Formally, the shown composition consists of electronics, cables and simple glass objects – sensors hidden under the layer of industrial white paint. We are attacked through the speakers by the echo of these contacts, multiplied and amplified, rhythmically modelled by the setting of the gear. Mgr. Art Matej Gavula Sound installation / plate glass of different size, piezoelectric sensors, vibration speakers, sampler, effects, sounds of glass cutting, gramophone, vinyl records, mixer, speakers. In objects, vibrating by the sound of glass cutting in workshop, we are confronted by the noise scrap, acoustic coulisse, originating in craft work. Oscillation that is substantial materializes this noise creating new sounds. Never ending cycle starts. Sound installation / gramophone, original vinyl record 50 loops noise, glass vinyl with 4 loops Glass vinyl with carved slot, read by the gramophone needle, is repeating monotonous sound. It does not reproduce any record, but the slot is original sound product itself, incased into itself as an encrypted message, waiting to be decoded. Txt: Matej Gavula
