    Hypercube 1 & 2 | 2015

Trying to understand five dimensional space, six dimensional space, seven dimensional space (and so on), the starting point was the visual, mathematical interpretation of this concept: the hypercube, a cube with four dimensions. Seeing as our imagination is not sufficient enough to understand the fourth dimension and the hypercube, I started drawing. I drew different visualizations for different dimensions in an attempt to first, analyze and secondly, make myself familiar with the metaphysical logic behind these concepts. There were two end results: one kind of drawings was digitally made, another kind of drawings was made by using “analogue” tools, being a pencil and paper. The first, digital kind was printed on brushed aluminum. Seeing as I still don't fully understand multidimensional space, it seemed like the right time and the right place for turning my digital pieces into physical objects, to at least have something tangible to compensate for the volatile nature of metaphysics.
