The process of creating my Monoscope begins with a sentence which somehow relates to truth – it defines it, comments on it, or interprets it. I then convert this sentence into my Truthful alphabet, and the individual fragments that form the letters are grouped together, sharing the same centre, all the outlines remaining visible. The whole design of the composition then results from the letters it contains. The monoscope was once used to tune the picture on the TV screen. Similarly, when looking at the picture, viewers subconsciously adapt to the content of the sentence on which it is based.
