Divine Intervention | 2013 | 7mins |Single Channel Video / Performance Installation http://vimeo.com/59800679 This video shows documentation of an intervention and installation in Ridley Road market in London, it was made in collaboration with clothing stallholders and market community. The market stall's green striped fabric was repainted in gold shimmering stripes by the artist and then documented in video being used throughout a working day. The Gold fabric was a ephemeral installation and exchange between artist and the market marking the ritual, fragility and labor involved in the stall holders daily tasks and routines. This video is installed in the gallery on a moveable clothing rail that a supports a screen, a performer is present in the gallery continuously and assembles and repositions the screen each time the video loops.
