Traces | 2004 - 2007
Traces is series based on pinhole photography and screen printing. In these portraits the most important was getting to the point where now face is not visible on the screen, but at the same time - it is present. It may be visible depending on the point of view. Visibility has evolved, aiming to monochrome, and faces changed also in the eschatological dimension. In 2007-2008 series developed as a three dimensional prints in larger scale, divided into spatial modules. The works function as a geometric forms alluding to minimal art achievements as well as images relating to traditional form of portraiture. Traces 1-6 were printed on paper in the format 100 x 70 cm, latest works (Traces 7-11) - were printed on plywood forms - in single copies, in version dark and bright (with an edition printed on paper).
