„Liptovské more“ bolo dôvodom zatopenia trinástich dedín a násilného vysťahovania miestneho obyvateľstva, ktorého majetok, rovnako ako hodnotné architektonické pamiatky tejto jednej z najstarších vrstiev osídlenia Liptova, zostali pochované pod jeho hladinou.Výstava TOTAL RECALL sa primárne zaoberá fenoménom pamäte – či už individuálnej, kolektívnej alebo pamäťou miesta. Zvláštny dôraz je kladený na špecifický prístup a vzťah obyvateľov Strednej a Východnej Európy k nedávnej minulosti, predovšetkým k obdobiu socializmu a udalostiam, ktoré sa počas neho udiali a stále majú nemalý dopad na životy mnohých ľudí aj na Slovensku. text: Katarína Slaninová.-------------„The Sea of Liptov“ was the reason for the flooding of thirteen villages and forced exodus of local residents whose possesions, as well as valuable architectural landmarks of one of the oldest segments of the inhabiting of Liptov, remained buried under its surface. The exhibit Total Recall primarily deals with the phenomenon of memory – the individual and the group memory, or the memory of place. Special emphasis is given to the specific approach and the relationship the inhabitants of Central and Eastern Europe have towards the recent past, especially towards the era of socialism and the events that took place during this era.
