Inside the room an audio track in earphones supported on a panel that reproduces in scale model the plant of the building, contains a moltitude of sounds, noises and voices recorded in the surrounding zone the external perimeter of the Gallery. A reflection on the past destination of use of the building, taking inside the space the sounds of the city life that the prisoners, for their isolation, were unable to listen. The audio track becomes so a background music able to recall not only the past history of the place, but also to insert inside the museum a slice of life, underlining the indissoluble character that the city has with its own history, both this human and artistic. / All’interno della sala una traccia audio in cuffie appogiate su di un pan- nello che riproduce in scala la pianta del palazzo, racchiude una molti- tudine di suoni, rumori e voci registrate nella zona circostante il peri- metro esterno della Galleria. Una riflessione sulla destinazione d’uso passata dell’edificio, portando all’interno dello spazio i suoni della vita cittadina che i carcerati, per il loro isolamento, erano impossibilitati ad ascoltare. La traccia audio si trasforma così in un sottofondo capace di ri- chiamare non solo la storia passata del luogo ma anche di inserire all’in- terno del museo uno spaccato di vita, sottolineando il carattere indisso- lubile che la città ha con la propria storia, sia questa umana che artistica.
