Posidonia, grassland that lives in the Mediterranean Sea, represents an enormous wealth of the sea, because it constitutes a shelter for many living organisms and as every plant, it exploits the mechanism of the chlorophyllian photosynthesis, that releases in the sea an important quantity of oxygen essential for the life of the sea. Because it is possible, the water in which the Posidonia is, must be clear, so that the light of the sun can penetrate and arrive on the seabed and if it decreases, it comes losing the photosynthetic activity of the plant, reducing it to the death. Because of the anthropic action more and more invasive, it was found that in different areas of the Mediterranean, grasslands are regressing to damage of the whole ecosystem. This summer, in Sciacca, in front of vast portions of Posidonia beached, I have been attracted of it and instinctive has been the action to pick up some of it and to bring them with me. The operation to pick up the rests of Posidonia and to elaborate them in the darkroom, is a process in which the light goes to restore somehow the form, the memory and the value of the Posidonia. Concrete and real elements, images realized of lines and heat that as a play become energy and story. At the same time, the native form of the mass realized on fifteen sheets, is deconstructed and reassembled to remember as it slowly is fading away.Posidonia, prateria che vive nel mar Mediterraneo, rappresenta un’enorme ricchezza del mare, in quanto costituisce un rifugio per molti organismi viventi e come ogni pianta sfrutta il meccanismo della fotosintesi clorofilliana che rilascia nel mare un’importante quantità di ossigeno essenziale per la vita del mare. Perché ciò sia possibile, l’acqua in cui si trova la Posidonia deve essere limpida, così che la luce del sole possa penetrare e arrivare sul fondo, se questa diminuisce si viene perdendo l’attività fotosintetica della pianta, riducendola alla morte. A causa dell’azione antropica sempre più invasiva è emerso che in diverse zone del mediterraneo le praterie stanno regredendo a danno dell’intero ecosistema. Quest’estate a Sciacca di fronte a vaste porzioni di Posidonia spiaggiata, ne sono rimasto attratto ed istintivo è stato l’atto di raccoglierne un po’ e portarle con me. L’operazione di raccogliere i resti di Posidonia e rielaborarli in camera oscura è un processo in cui la luce va a restituire in qualche modo la forma, la memoria ed il valore della Posidonia. Elementi concreti e reali, immagini fatte di linee e calore che come gioco diventano energia e racconto. Nel contempo la forma originaria della massa realizzata su 15 fogli, viene decostruita e riassemblata per ricordare come questa stia pian piano svanendo.
