ARTIST STATEMENT

For me art is communicaton. Successful communication might not always be possible with every individual person, but it should be a motivation that drives us to work on the ways we communicate and the tools we use to get our message across.
I found that story telling is a very powerfull communcation tool that allows for both the delivery of my message, as well as enough freedom and space for the listener to understand the story as she or he pleases and to twist and alternate the message to suit their individual needs and necessities.
I love telling and collection stories and to do so, one must keep an open ear to the world.

BIOGRAPHY

Thomas Mader was born in 1984 in South Germany.
After receiving his Masters degree in literature of the romance languages, he is currently studying fine arts at the UDK Berlin, class of Thomas Zipp.
He lives and works in Berlin.
