ARTIST STATEMENT
Thaisa Figueiredo was born in the backwoods of Pernambuco in 1988. Discovered photography in 2006, to dedicate to analogue photography as an autodidact. In 2012 completed the Master of Conceptual and Artistic Photography in Efti, Madrid, Spain. Currently, in addition to continue exploring and shooting with 35mm film, also produced works based on appropriate found photographs and through interventions with chemicals and sewing, discusses topics such as memory and identification.
