ARTIST STATEMENT

ART CONTAINER’s interest is to find configurations and constellations of several people’s view on the world, to accumulate their ideas, to place their works in a certain way, in a defined physical space,

where they reach their strongest possible impact, and where they form a microcosmic world which might be seen as a filtered model of the outside world. The members of the collective have exchanged their thoughts for years, have been inspired and supported by other artists, have changed and developed over time, and are still in the process of reinventing themselves constantly. The collective has realized exhibitions and shows in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, Germany, USA and Australia. The shows have been a mixture of wild performance art, mystic theater shows, massive sculptures and precisely carried out installations.

BIOGRAPHY

Tanel Hubertus Bergmann alias ART CONTAINER is active as an artist since 1998. Originally based on Performance Art, he has been developing his artistic activities over the years, dealing with photography, video and installations. He lives and works in Tallinn and Pärnu (Estonia).
