ARTIST STATEMENT

Cieľom sochárskych a priestorových experimentov je skúmanie krajiny ako nositeľa potenciálu popísať dlhodobý vývoj spoločnosti viazanej ku konkrétnemu miestu. Javy a zmeny spojené s využitím a prístupom ku krajine sú schopné podať report o duchu doby v rámci vybraných časových intervalov. Priestorová ilustrácia extrémnych miest a situácií v krajine ponúka možnosť uchopenia priestoru ako textu predurčeného na zápis dôležitých prvkov súčasného vývoja society užívajúcej outdoor priestor. Stratégia skúmania priestoru je postavená na transformovaní a minimalizovaní existenciálnych skúseností, procesuálnych intervenciách a aktívnom lezeckom živote. V kontexte rozvinutia sochárskeho procesu vnímam telo ako dôležitú styčnú plochu medzi fyzickým výkonom naplneným v čase, a prekonanou osobnou vnútornou premenou. Výzvou je modelácia  nehmatateľného tela novej “krajiny”, ktorá je výsledkom intervencie človeka.

The objective behind sculptural spatial experiments is to investigate land as a bearer of potential to describe long-term development of a society bound to a specific place.
Events and changes associated with the approach to the land and its utilization give us a report on the spirit of the era in chosen time periods.
The space illustration of extreme situations and settings from the mountain climbing environment offers the possibility to grasp the space as a text predetermined for recording of important elements in contemporary development of the society that uses the outdoor space. The strategy of typological investigation of the mounting climbing environment is based on formal minimalization of existential experiences, the process interventions and an active climbing experience.In a context of unfolding sculptural process I percieve a body as an important interface between physical performance, fulfilled in time and undergone individual inner change.
