ARTIST STATEMENT

I work in drawing and painting, focusing on the relationship between lines, surfaces, layers, and transparency in relation to the chosen subject. In my drawing and watercolor series, I engage with recurring visual motifs from art history, architecture, history, and family heritage. Much like in a laboratory, I examine old images on a light table. This experimental process leads to the creation of my own image archive.
