ARTIST STATEMENT

I am interested in conceptual questions about the role of the artist, the viewer and the artwork itself. I am also interested in issues about consumer society.

BIOGRAPHY

Peter Sarkozi studied photography at Budapest College of Communication and Business and media design at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. He worked for several magazines and also for the Hungarian National Office of Cultural Heritage as a photographer. For three years he was the Editor-in-Chief of Digicams.hu online magazine. Now he is the Executive Director of Cross Media Photo & Design Studio. He is a member of Studio of Young Photographers (Hungary), The Association of Hungarian Journalists since 2008 and Random Association since 2013. The list of his exhibitions includes: Facade Video Festival (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), Galerie Treppenhaus (Erlangen, Garmany), Hungarian House of Photography – Mai Manó House (Budapest, Hungary), Long Room (Athene, Greece), Vam Design Center (Budapest, Hungary), etc.
