My work can be characterized by a realistic way of illustration.
Until 2013, the central subject of my work was the creation of
self-portraits in a way that the most essential characteristic, my face,
remained invisible in all cases. Currently my self-examination process
extends to my surroundings; my models are either banal objects
surrounding me or earlier paintings of my own. My compositions are
puzzles: the traces of personal memories, experiences, moods and
thoughts each condensed into an object-composition. One uses motives and
colors in which they can discover themselves; I view the still lifes
thus created as self-portraits.
