My works come from the research of a
space or a place to interact with, hiding unexpected situations. Like in a
puzzle, every interesting element participate in the creation of a narration,
finding its principal expression in the analysis of artistic language. In my
path photography is the medium that I use to collect notes, to gather those
first elements that will later be useful to develop my research. These images,
overlapping each others, form a proper memory, a sort of archive to compose my
work and to elaborate details that will shape the process of creation.
Photography and sculpture equally compose my installations: they can tell the history
of a place, the possibility to measure a space through my own body or the skill
of a material to disguise itself with the forces of geological processes. Photography is placed side by side with other media not to sustain itself but
to be completed. To work with different media, to make languages coexist and
continuously trespassing borders, let me create connections of sense in the gap
existing between their characteristics. The research of balance between the
three-dimensional sculptural installation aspect and the bidimensionality of
photographic medium participate to my personal creation of a new vision of
ensemble.
