Water Elements, Urban Centre in Brno, 2022

We invite you to an exhibition that presents the competitive designs of the architectural and art competition "Water Element on Dominican Square in Brno". A few years ago, a long-term planned reconstruction of Dominican Square in Brno took place. The square, which for years served as a parking lot, was transformed into a dignified gathering and social space, which with its concept and expression corresponds to the importance of the space in front of the seat of self-government. These modifications of the square were followed by the idea of ​​building a water element, which will contribute not only to the completion of the character of the place, but also to the cooling of the surface of the square in the summer months. An artistically designed fountain or fountain will be located in the central part of the square in front of the New Town Hall, in a place bordered by four plane trees and four stone benches. At the beginning of this year, the city of Brno announced an architectural and art competition for the form of a water element on Dominikánské náměstí. You can now get acquainted with its results. Proposals from all participants in the competition will be submitted by November 5.
