ARTIST STATEMENT

Nina Fountedakis is interested in finding a point of peace and tranquillity between and within disparities and – generally speaking – in every relation, may it be mental, emotional, social, physical or metaphysical. She is interested in finding and fostering a better understanding on how we are all connected. This devotion manifests in her artistic projects, as well as arttherapeutical work/ aesthetic education, executed in institutions, schools and festivals all around the World. 


BIOGRAPHY

1987 austria. ever since STUDIES OF LIFE, LOVE and ART. as defined by vincent van gogh:         I FEEL THAT THERE IS NOTHING MORE TRULY ARTISTIC THAN TO LOVE PEOPLE.

projects thus far in iceland, finland, lithuania, croatia, hungary, england, switzerland, serbia, greece, argentina, germany and austria.

1995 - 2000                                        

  • study of MUSIC. main subject piano. concert activities and publication of two original compositions.

 

2001 - 2005                                     

  • gymnasium with specialization in ART EDUCATION. final examinations passed with excellent success. preliminary examinations in form of a specialized paper on art education: “ANDY GOLDSWORTHY. an artist working in harmony with the rhythm of nature.”

 

2005 - 2006                                 

  • academy of applied PHOTOGRAPHY graz. recipient of the hermann- herzele- scholarship.

 

2007 - 2011                                       

  • studies of HOLISTIC ARTTHERAPY in the interdisciplinary study and service society austria. vienna.

 

2011 - 2013                                       

  • STUDY TRIPS inter alia in argentina, portugal, spain.                                
  • founding of the CULTURAL ASSOCIATION for experimental and interdisciplinary art "VEIK - verein für experimentelle und interdisziplinäre kunst"


since 2014                                        

  •  organisation of the austrian branch of the experimental und  interdisciplinary art festival 'NIÑOS CONSENTIDOS' in vienna.      

  • full time SELF-EMPLOYED ARTIST.
  • ARTISTIC, CULTURAL and EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS with (severly disabled) children and adults; with schools, institutions and festivals of all kinds. throughout the world.
  • numerous cooperations with institutions as e.g. the AUSTRIAN FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND WOMEN / ARS ELECTRONICA CENTER / AUSTRIAN CULTURAL FORUM LONDON / CULTURAL DEPARTMENT OF VIENNA and the FEDERAL CHANCELLERY OF AUSTRIA for Art and Culture
