ARTIST STATEMENT

My artworks can be interpreted as different elements of a continuous analysis. Dialogues with reality, with the medium that surrounds (called external world). The small details and different layers are important to me, also from a semiotic point of view, as the techniques used. I get inspired by life situations and the closely related associations, feelings derived from them. Phenomenons, concepts of time (past, present, future), the traces left by human and their connection to eachother, shared experiences, social absurdities, the part-whole issue are appearing in my work always trough a personal filter, with an inductive, detailed tone. I’m interested at the present of printmaking and drawing, their new ways and possibilities. Graphic is not a dead language for me. The techniques of printmaking mean a serious toolbar. I combine traditional graphic printing techniques with unique analogue techniques and digital tools. I try to use progressive, experimental ways of graphic, that is how I get to the phenomenons of "borderline". Due to this research traditional images, prints, installations and sculptures can be found within my works. The "borderline" works are opening up new paths for me....
