In his art, Martin Papcun explores private relationships with public spaces and the spaces we inhabit, in works both monumental and miniature.
His work is focused on relationships, definitions of private and public space, and the gaps between them. He examines the differences between communication systems (states, nations, subcultures, and individuals) and their own languages, and he systematically interprets broad socio-political systems.

Martin Papcún vo svojej tvorbe skúma osobné vzťahy k verejným priestorom a vzťahy, ktoré si vytvárame k miestam kde bývame. Jeho umelecké projekty sú prevedené v monumentálnej aj miniatúrnej forme.
Jeho tvorba je zameraná na vzťahy, definíciu súkromného a verejného priestoru a na medzery medzi týmito difiníciami. Skúma rozdiely medzi komunikačnými systémami (štátov, národov, subkultúr a jednotlivcov) a ich špecifickými jazykmi a systematicky interpretuje široké sociopolitické systémy.
Martin Papcún sa narodil v roku 1979 v Leviciach, SK. Žije striedavo v Mníchove, Prahe a na Slovensku.
