ARTIST STATEMENT

Vo svojej tvorbe sa zaoberám vzťahom medzi prírodnou krajinou a ľudskou podstatou. Zameriavam sa na duševnú potrebu prírodnej divokosti a prirodzenosti človeka všeobecne, ale najmä seba samej. Reflektujem vnemy a pocity nadobudnuté v krajine, ktoré sú uchovávané v myšlienkach a následne sa k nim vraciam ako k imaginatívnym krajinám, samostatným svetom, ktorých vizuálna forma pramení z môjho vnútra.

Prírodnú podstatu do kontextov svojich malieb vkladám prostredníctvom maliarskeho média prírodného tušu. Ide o zdĺhavý proces od samotného pobytu v prírode, za účelom hľadania inšpirácie a potrebného materiálu pre následné spracovanie prírodnín do osobitej škály tušov, až po samotný akt maľby. Prírodný pôvod a takisto celkový proces tvorby ovplyvňuje moje zaobchádzanie s tušom a umocňuje tak hlbšie a úprimnejšie prežitie procesu maľby, ktorá sa odohráva v čisto spontánnej a meditatívnej rovine.

Pomocou prírodného tušu, vnášam do malieb rôzne efekty a štruktúry, ktorých neustále sa meniaci charakter zabezpečuje organicky pôsobiaci vizuál malieb. Abstraktné mikrosvety, či imaginatívne krajiny, ktoré sú inšpirované prírodným prostredím, korigujem náhodnou škvrnou.

Okrem abstraktných štruktúr, do svojich malieb situujem voľné, anatomicky nepresné ženské torzo ako symboliku ženskej genealógie. Médium prírodného tušu a alchymisticky pôsobiaci proces jeho prípravy mi umožnili pozrieť sa do vlastného vnútra a zistiť, prečo je pre mňa tak dôležité pracovať výlučne s týmto médiom. Rituálny charakter malieb - počnúc zberom rastlín, následnou prípravou prírodného tušu až po samotnú maľbu - odkazuje na rodinnú tradíciu bylinárstva a liečiteľstva v ženskej línii rodiny, ktorú som podvedome a neskôr vedome vnášala do malieb.

In my work I deal with the relationship between the natural landscape and human nature. I focus on the mental need for natural wildness and human nature in general, but particulary myself. I reflect on the perceptions and feelings acquired in the landscape, which are stored in thoughts and then return to them as imaginative landscapes, independently worlds, whose visual form springs out from within me.

I insert the natural essence into the contexts of my paintings using by the medium of natural ink. It is a lengthy process from the very stay in nature, in order to find inspiration and the necessary material for the subsequent processing of natural products into a special scale of inks, to the very act of painting. The natural origin as well as the overall process of creation influences my treatment of ink and intensifies the deeper and more sincere to feel the process of painting, which takes place on a purely spontaneous and meditative level.

Using by the natural ink, I bring various effects and structures to the paintings, the constantly changing character of which is ensured by the organically acting visual of the paintings. I correct abstract micro worlds or imaginative landscapes that are inspired by the natural environment with a random stain.

In addition to abstract structures, I situate a free, anatomically inaccurate female torso in my paintings as a symbolism of female genealogy. The medium of natural ink and alchemically influencing the process of its preparation also includes me to look inside and find out why it is important for me to work with this medium. The ritual character of the paintings - from the collection of plants, the subsequent preparation of natural ink to the painting itself - refers to the family tradition of herbalism and healing in the female line of the family, which I subconsciously and later consciously brought to the paintings.
