ARTIST STATEMENT

 Plastic language in my sculpture is especially frugal. Interventions in volumes are minimal, but radical. All this leads to cleaning of expression means into several catching points - counterpoints. Fully impact of works is organized about contrast of volumes, space directions, materials and colours.My work is searching for harmony, based on opposition.

BIOGRAPHY

  Krasimir Metodiev was born on January 7, 1989, in the town of Karlovo, Bulgaria. From 2009  to 2014  studied in University of Veliko Tarnovo  “St. Cyril and St. Methodius ", Bulgaria. Graduated Fine Arts - sculpture, bachelor and master degree in professor Stefan Liyutakov`s class From 10. 2011 to 02. 2012 studied in the National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania, under the "Erasmus" program. Since 2015 is a PhD student at the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Veliko Tarnovo  "St. Cyril and St. Methodius". Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 2016. Lives and works in Karlovo, Bulgaria.
