ARTIST STATEMENT

Mojim hlavným autorským záujmom je figurálna maľba. Vo svojej tvorbe spájam osobné prežitky a spoločenské témy, pričom sa sústreďujem na skúmanie identity, intimity, vzťahov a dynamiky medzi jednotlivcom a spoločnosťou. Moje diela sa vyznačujú hlbokým emocionálnym nábojom, introspektívnym pohľadom na ľudskú psychiku a komplexnosť každodenného života. Čerpám z vlastných skúseností ako aj kultúrnych kontextov, čím vytváram univerzálne príbehy. V mojich dielach sa objavujú nielen témy vnútornej slobody a samorozvoja, ale aj kritika spoločenských noriem a konvenčných očakávaní.

My main artistic interest is figurative painting. In my work, I combine personal experiences and social themes, focusing on exploring identity, intimacy, relationships and the dynamics between the individual and society. My works are characterized by a deep emotional charge, an introspective look at the human psyche and the complexity of everyday life. I draw from my own experiences as well as cultural contexts, creating universal stories. My works not only address themes of inner freedom and self-development, but also critique social norms and conventional expectations.

BIOGRAPHY

Katarína Magdiaková (*1997) je maliarka. Absolvovala Bc. stupeň štúdia na Akadémii umení v Banskej Bystrici, kde navštevovala ateliér Klasických maliarskych disciplín pod vedením prof. Ľudovíta Hološku, akad. mal. V roku 2022 úspešne ukončila magisterský stupeň štúdia na Akadémii umení, v ateliéri STARTUP u Jána Triašku. Po štúdiu absolvovala stáž v Street art museum Amsterdam. Participovala na rôznych skupinových výstavách.

Katarina Magdiakova (*1997) is an painter. She graduated from Bc. degree of study at the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica, where she attended the studio of Classical Painting Disciplines under the guidance of prof. Ľudovít Hološka, acad. mal. In 2022 she successfully graduated from Mgr. degree of study at Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica, in studio STARTUP under the guidance of doc. Mgr. art. Ján Triaška, ArtD. After her studies, she completed an internship at the Street Art Museum Amsterdam. She participated in various group exhibitions.
