Juliana Höschlová

  • Juliana Höschlova, is a multi-media-artist mostly working with drawing, painting, performance and installation. She received her degree from the conceptual studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and she is a co-founder of Návštěva project

ARTIST STATEMENT

Juliana Höschlová ( born in 1987) graduated in Academy of Fine Arts, Prague (AVU) and lives and works in Krkonoše mountains. She is interested in relationship between human and his/her environment, which is now intensively addressed in relation to the current issue of climate crisis. She has collaborated with the Art for Climate platform and addresses the sphere of care and responsibility, which the research of the new materials, relationship and cycles in nature are closely related. She has been expressing her concepts through authorial techniques – abstract biopaintings, space installations with monumental sails from collected plastic bags or creating a collage drawings, digital paintings or objects combining natural and artificial materials. An integral part of her work are also site-specific karaoke performances where artist put herself into position of guide to create a safe space for community interactions, healing, reliefs, encouragements and changes.

Juliana Höschlová works as art educator mostly for kids and teenagers and as a production and communication assistant for NGO Na mysli, z.ú. which is focusing on work with youths and spreading the climate awareness. Juliana is also a founder of Návštěva project and founding member of Hyperaktiv studios based on small community of friends with unusual interests.
