ARTIST STATEMENT

Jana Bernartová is a digital artist who's central interest is to explore cotemporary alternative of to classiccal painting. Her work plays upon different forms of netart, videoart, software programming and computer graphics. Jana has often follows almost scientific approach of first collecting data and then rethinking the shape of nature, or rather of countryside. Work with the computer-generated informations gives her a possibility to hold rule over her projects and, at the same time, creates enough space for coincidence. In this way the works of art are mirroring the rules of nature and thus they are in a way their illustration.
