ARTIST STATEMENT

The subjects of Harald Stroebel (KONZT) appear in formally appealing, but nevertheless in their content, drastic works which still stay open for many different associations and interpretations. The way of artistic conversion always results from the underlying conceptual idea. Often, well-known symbols and ciphers are transferred on a new level of meaning by unusual combination and ironic disruption.
