ARTIST STATEMENT

Emille de Blanche uses sculpture to create large scale three-dimensional work based in material investigation. Two main axes of research define her practice: the urban environment and its impact on the individual and the search for the ambiguous dualities and opposites. Inspired by post minimalistic ideas of anti-form and chance as an artistic factor, de Blanche often uses industrial materials as a starting point for her work.
