ARTIST STATEMENT

I consider my artistic practice to be in a wide spectrum of activities. My medias are sculpture and painting, but also photography, video and performance. With a special focus on the Russian Avant-garde I am interested in a correlation of formal and social issues. The relation to the post-Soviet condition is though obvious. The topics of architecture and urban space go through my work in different occurrences. Another subject, I am dealing with, is the object and its museal representation.
