    Mémoires | 2017

The exhibition ‘Mémoires’ was on show at Telep Gallery, Budapest in August of 2017. I dealt with the topic of remembrance and past, more exactly I examined the condition of the self what remain after our present and thus after our past. I made a site-specific concrete installation named ’Wounded selves in oblivion’ as a paraphrase of my collage with the same title. The concrete scapes emerge from the ground as geometrical objects, the surface of their tops covered with charcoal and black painted moss reminds us of a relief that forms a coherent piece of landscape. The salient land-pieces are part of a fictional, psyche-centered scene and the charcoal with the black moss give an assiociation to a scorched earth. The concrete works as a symbolical material, since its thickness and solidity are capable of transmitting heavy content although the grey colour relay to rigidity and refer to alienation. Each concrete prism marks a period of life and the scorched earth symbolizes the often destructive nature of these. For this exhibition I made a little booklet with my photographs and one of my poems, and also collected other text from Nietzsche and Sylvia Plath associated to my works.
