Painting ‘Hater painter’ attempts to step out of the stereotypical perception of painting as a decorative object and becomes an interactive piece. The strikes (from the air rifle) into the image activate the built-in sound mechanism with ‘responses’ of the work as curator’s short commentaries on criticism of painting as media in present days. ‘Buzz’ encodes the usual, sedentary views of professional and laic public on painting. The aim is to offer the viewer the opportunity to complete the work (de facto by destroying it), but also to show a mirror to the viewer. The painting was shot by viewers at the Dot Gallery in Bratislava.
