It all started with a mistake, with a worn and torn number "144" misread as "Volo" from a distance (see "Original"). The series is an exploration of that made-up word; a made-up word that nevertheless has multiple definite meanings ("I fly" in Latin, Italian and Catalan, "volition" in Esperanto, also "flight" in Italian etc.). The visuality of the word (as being different from typography) is important for me.
