Between Document and Monument | 2015
Between Document and Monument presented a group exhibition of three young conceptual photographers playing with the tension between representative/documentary and and indexical/monumental qualities of the medium. I have presented installation consisting in composition of shapes derived from stock images language and a plexiglass placed in the space of the gallery. The setting was meant to create an opened image susceptible to different perspectives, manipulation and intervention. As such it reflects the nature or lack of thereof in commercial image production.
