  You Look Nice Today | 2014 - 2016

We naturally transform into another version of ourselves throughout our lives. Lines and spots appear on our stretching skin through aging. Our skin colour evolves as well through natural selection. This series of images focuses on the ideas our society and we have given to one's physical appearance. The subjects in the photographs were painted with vibrant colours and eclectic patterns. This outer change gave them a sense of invisibility and anonymity, as if their old selves were completely erased. By disrupting what we are used to seeing we are suddenly confronted with the importance of these preconceived ideas, and whether or not they affect how we perceive each other and ourselves.
