    Szent | Sacred | 2014 - 2016

That which is sacred has two elementary properties: 1) It is hiding: approaching it requires a different attitude altogether. And in the era of the profaned sacred and the sanctified commercial, it takes increased efforts to distinguish what really is sacred. 2) The sacred points beyond itself: it is the footprint of an existent not wholly inaccessible. A point of reference in the homogeneous mass of the everything-else, it marks the Other, the Horizon, the Not You, Not This, Not Here within the relations of Your space, Your time, Your Self. How sensitive are we to this? What is the minimum difference that already catches our eyes? Around this phenomenon revolve these three works of mine, for which I made use of the aggregation of everyday materials and the minimum of colours, sceneries, and stimuli. As of now, the images displayed here present plans, models, and work in progress, the finished installations are yet to be realised.
