    Creature Touching A Wall | 2015

The oddness of our construction does not appear to us often, out of habit, since all oddness is only such in relation to an other, but not in relation to itself. This creature is bizarre, verging on the absurd, and yet if it were to consider the human form, it would probably consider it monstrous just as well. Thus it accepts itself, and all its literal and vague components. There is a most basic encounter within this work. This being is touching a wall. It is hard, and while painted thickly, it possesses a jitter that makes it hard to pin down. I consider it something comparable to a first interaction, a touch, a pressure, a proof and an undeniable recognition of an intangibility.
