    THE BUNKERS - ENVENTS | 2014

EVENT 1 I set off into such entirely absurd events with a certain level of “disobedience” and naïve poetry. By their overstated form, these events fail to demonstrate the seriousness, rather than the exaggeration that lies in an innocent game and pondering the reversal of original meanings. Tracking and searching for light military fortifications got me into direct confrontation with a really heavy concrete log cabin and my own imaginative vision of its destruction. Referencing the bunkers devastated and destroyed by the numerous tests of Wehrmacht weaponry, I now symbolically set out to “conquer” their strength and indifference, using a ten-meter rubber band serving as a slingshot and a gigantic inflated balloon as ammunition. That attack, lacking any sense from the point of view of actual destruction, is a pure “cry” of absurdity.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------EVENT 2 The small fortresses in the deep forests were covered by bright white textile during an installation called “anti-masking,” pointing out the specific structure instead of sustaining its camouflage. Again, attempting to achieve an anti-sense, I defied their authentic and original function of concealment. Capturing these unusual simulated events took place in the forest near the village of Branná in the former Eastern Sudetenland.
