This video, shot at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue, NY, is part of series of video- observations in New York between 2012 and 2013. I was recording moving images of anonymous individuals, or masses of people on “iconic” places in New York City, like the Apple Store, Central Park, China Town, and others. I re-contextualise and simplify those footages, to isolate from them patterns and principles of movements, and reveal the hidden choreography underneath, until the entire piece looks like a staged performance with a deeper meaning behind. Simpler said, I look for creative principles and meaning behind the random and natural.
