    2.803km of 7.69km | 2015

Elsewhere. Observations on Islands / Franz Josefs Kai 3, Vienna, AT / Curated by Marlies Wirth / Inhabiting two of the left over spaces in-between the divisions of rooms, structures of social negotiation were constructed out of 2.803km of thread that plug the otherwise transitional zones. A minimum line, thread wraps the structures until it becomes surface, creating boundaries and screens which nearly disappear from certain angles of approach. The length 2.803km was an attempt to unfold the 7.69km perimeter line of Highland Park, a political island nested within the city of Detroit.
