  Peopling the Old Market square | 2013

A continuous art intervention into what can be as well considered meta-urban-space in an attempt to fill in the gaps in its functionality making it thus truly an urban space. Market squares always were ones of the most vibrant spots in the medieval cities. They were meant to be. And they still are. So why make a scale model of the Old Market Square and leave it forever empty and peopleless? Does that not kill the very spirit of the place? This project is a mere attempt to restore the justice and finally bring people to the model of the Old Market in Poznan, Poland. Once a week tiny women and men come to the center of the Old Town and eventually go further driven by their own fate. But their short stay makes this place a real market square. Even though it is not.
