    Motives | 2011

The common element on my works is the observation of the experienced and the imagined reality. At the same time also the technique of collage and montage combine the images, that determines every artwork. The unique world of forms on my works, are given through the lined technique of etching, which I often combine with the technique of aquatint. Thus, Icreated a rich world of nuances, wich is also due to the grade of etching. The surreal elements meet in an every-day surrounding with the narrative imagery. The graphic work with several possible readings is created through the system of different motives. My works are a colection of motives, but the focus is not on a specific one, but rather the combined system of motives and the symmetry of the elements, that recur on several artworks. I do not define the ideology, the hierarchical order or value judgement concerning the role of each motive. The different reading possibilities of those motive systems mainly depend ont he worldview of the beholder.
