    Indigo Drawings | 2015

Indigo Drawings, 2014-2015 works being continuously made I call my works on paper in which I use copy paper coated in indigo ink to make my pictures “Indigo Drawings”. The specific properties of these drawings follow from the technique I have applied: the traces created with indigo can only be copies. In the course of tracing through the indigo paper, the fields, lines and symbols appear in the “original” picture. The technical solution focuses on the questions of original and copy, visualising and uncovering. I use writing, tracing, scribbling and crossing out in a random way in the indigo drawings to be shown. I trace the meanings of words highlighted from an interpretive dictionary, onto the paper, over and over again, tracing them, rewriting them, highlighting them, uncovering them, crossing them out, and using their interpretability as visual elements.
