  Portraits with Prologue | 2014

My world is full of Portraits. Social networks are full of them. I realized that Portrait, as accepted by people around me, is not really sensual for me. The Social networks include plenty of variations of one person that are often in contradiction (independently if the image is art or document). I think that complexity of any individual personality is impossible to express and thus the chance to capture the characteristics of the portrayed person are close to zero. I myself understand a portrait as a combination of three attributes: impressive background, fabulous light and interesting appearance. My work aims to show all these three attributes as well as something that is from my point of view innovative for today’s photography. February 11, 2014, Düsseldorf
