REPRESENTATION

Tilting at the heart of the Beast, Berlin

  • 2013
  • Oil, Digital Projection on Canvas
  • 170 x 100 cm

  • Experimenting combining painting and moving image, the work moves through the initial pulsing of light or 'heart-beat', embodying Berlin as 'The Beast'. The location I chose is a more recently gentrified area of Berlin, Rosenthaler Platz in Mitte.
