    Psychopomp Shrine | 2014

A psychopomp is a soul bearer. I have made a shrine for the psychopomp, a place of worship for those seeking aid in communication. The psychopomp is depicted in my work as "Horse Head" the guardian of the Buddhist underworld; its horse head is also a reference to Sleipnir, the 8 legged horse of Nordic Mythology who could travel between realms. Psychopomp Shrine is a sculpture performance piece.
