The DESTRUCTION Series | 2019 - 2020
Recently, I began to focus mainly on playgrounds evoking the feeling of old times with either their construction from the socialist era, or with being abandoned and partly ruined. The peeling off paint, revealing the endless layers of other colors beneath it, creates a structure evoking the layers of time. In this series, I use coats of colours accompanied with structures of medical gauze, damaged canvases, collages, décollages and rust. The duplication of playground constructions refers to the sediments of time, creating almost on abstract sensation and quality to the paintings.
