I am dealing with the attitude of radical painting in the area of concrete photography. This work is an attempt to transfer the logic of monochrome painting into the medium I use with the aim to show that photography is not only about documentation and not completely reproducible either. I also relate to this work as a media theoretical proposal. How does the relationship between photography and painting work nowadays? In a century determined by new media, can painting still be the focal point of fine arts? Can concrete photography be apprehended without any background knowledge of painting?
